Despite strong evidence of a link with #colorectalcancer + NICE guidelines clear that GPs should test under 50s with iron anaemia, this still doesn’t feature in NHS England (or Bowel Cancer UK) lists of common symptoms.
The introduction of silicone and later thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) marked a pivotal shift. These materials allowed manufacturers to replicate the softness, elasticity, and warmth of human skin with far greater accuracy. TPE in particular provided a cost-effective alternative to medical-grade silicone while maintaining lifelike tactile qualities. The body could now be molded with intricate anatomical detail, from subtle skin folds to natural facial contours.
